Krossing Maxi: A Modular Bookcase for Large Volumes

Designed as an evolution of the original system, Krossing Maxi expands the concept of modular shelving by offering greater depth and structural capacity. The system maintains the essential aesthetic of the Krossing collection while adapting it to environments that require more storage space.

Greater Depth, Greater Capacity
The main difference between Krossing Maxi and the original version is its 25 cm shelf depth, allowing it to hold large books, art catalogs, magazines and decorative objects.
This increased depth makes it particularly suitable for:

  • living room libraries
  • office archives
  • art and design books
  • children’s rooms with toy storage

Despite the increased size, the structure retains the elegant minimal look typical of the Kriptonite design language.

Floor-Supported Structure
Unlike the standard Krossing system, Krossing Maxi is floor-supported. The structure rests on the ground and is fixed to the wall in only a few points to ensure stability.
This configuration allows the shelving system to support heavier loads while maintaining its lightweight appearance.

Modular and Customizable
Like the rest of the collection, Krossing Maxi is fully modular. The system is composed of:

  • aluminum shelves
  • vertical spacer tubes
  • base elements that transfer weight to the floor

Designers can choose between regular compositions or completely custom layouts, adapting the system to both small walls and large architectural spaces.

A Graphic Element for Interior Design
Beyond its storage capacity, Krossing Maxi functions as a visual element within the architecture. The thin aluminum structure often disappears behind books and objects, transforming the library into a graphic pattern across the wall.
This ability to combine functionality and visual lightness makes Krossing Maxi a versatile solution for contemporary interiors.
